| ! | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hi there!
I'll do my best to help. What's Your Ideal Weight? We all carry around inside our heads two different views of ourselves. One is the image of ourselves as we think we are - and the other is an image of how we'd like to be. These two images are at war with each other - even in thin people! Everything we are is a product of the way we think. We have the lives we have because of the decisions we have made and the actions we have taken in response to the information we have received. And the reason why some people are in different places from us - or appear to be more successful or happier, is because thay have responded differently to the incoming information. They have made different decisions because their minds have interpreted the information in a more positive way. We all know deep down that success is a state a mind. And so it is with body image. Simply put, if you're overweight, your mind is making you fat! Hey, That's Not Fair! People try to bury their heads in the sand. They have a million reasons why they're overweight. "I have a glandular problem." "I have big bones" "All of my family are fat - it's in our genes." "At my age, this kind of weight gain comes with the territory." Yeah, yeah. What's your excuse? Everybody has one. But when was the last time you saw one overweight person in a third world country? (Apart from the rich politicians!) Did you know that obesity was unknown in China until the 1960s - when the hamburger was first introduced? And don't you know that in normal circumstances weight drops off naturally - as you age? It may be tough to swallow (pun intended) but: We're Fat Because We Want To Be Fat There's no getting around it. We in the West can make up all kinds of reasons and factors and problems that cause weight gain but there is only one: We eat too much. The fact is we eat much more than we need. And, to make matters worse, here in the West we eat the wrong kind of food. The average meal of processed food we eat has enough nutritional compounds, protein and fat for roughly five people. And we think that's normal eating. It's no wonder we're so fat! You Gotta Change Your Mind You eat because you think you need to. You've been programmed to consume three hearty meals a day by people who lived through tough times in the middle of the last century. During the 1930s, 40s and 50s, food was a scarce commodity. All everyone wanted was lots of good food. They wouldn't waste a scrap. Trouble is the people that lived through those years had kids and told them to eat well, eat heartily, eat because that's sign we're safe, well and happy. Uh, so what happened to the next generation? We got fat, eating as much as we liked, trying to make our parents happy - and prove that we're grateful to them for our comparatively easy and comfortable lives! Trouble is, now we eat like there's no tomorrow and the food never runs out. The portions at fast food outlets are bigger than ever and everything's processed to maximise its effect on our taste buds, making us want to eat more, and more, and more... Back to Body Image We eat because we think we need all this food to survive. We're programmed to do that, even though we have an image of ourselves of how we should look - an image that is always challenged by the way we actually are. Doctors and behavioural psychologists say it takes 28 days to reprogram our minds - that's why drug rehab units use that number of days. My Easy Way to Diet program is spread over 30 days - and it's designed to change you way you feel about food forever, without dieting, exercise or any other kind of nonsense. It works on your mind. It works on who you are. It works on how you think - about health, wealth and happiness. Simply put, it works. Go here now for details. Rob@easywaytodiet.com |
